Would like to try....

So I am secured nicely for the night now on the settee......

It's not been a bad day, on the whole. I have been sat watching Sports Personality Of The Year on the BBC, whilst watching the snooker on another Television too. I got to daydreaming.... (Usually when I get 'Ideas' for the next piece of writing or my next ruse)

NOT VERY OFTEN NOWADAYS THAT THE WORDS SPORTS AND/OR PERSONALITY ARE MENTIONED IN THE SAME BREATH. They are all mostly dull as dishwater.

There is a Hiatus of the 'LIVE' television at the moment, just had a sandwich and a coffee while the interval is on in the Snooker. BBC RED BUTTON LIVE..... So I have a moment to nip this bit in.

What Sport that I haven't tried yet would I love to play? Well, right now, the 'sport' that I would dearly like to try is the one that most people excel at. Sleeping. Not really a sport I know, although there are other associations with the sport of sleeping..... Go figure. And also there is too much happening on the telly too.

A couple of sports that I would love to try.

SCUBA DIVING. Now I know that SCUBA stands for self contained under-water Breathing Apparatus. I also know that you can try this at various places like Diving schools and even the local swimming pool. Sod that. I would want to dive in at the deep end. Nice and well placed pun award there. I would want to go diving in the deepest clearest oceans and discover sunken wrecks and hidden treasures. I would probably try to avoid the sharks. Especially the Great White (If the Great White is at risk, how can it be considered top of the foodchain in the ocean? Mind, they must be thick, because they seem to nibble every hook that the Japanese dangle or get harpooned by Norwegians. Not sure if the Norwegians harpoon Great Whites, they just Harpoon whales....)

BASEBALL. The Cubans and the Japanese love baseball. The Cubans having produced many world class players. As far as I am aware the Japanese are so far, in deficit in the amount of world class stars they have produced.

Let's face it. Baseball is 'ROUNDERS' on steroids. Or rather Vitamin Capsules. It is so pedestrian. OK. Some of the pitchers may be able to throw the odd curve ball (If the wind gets up sufficiently) And occassionally there is a decent 'Ball in the gonad moment' or the Umpire makes awful decisions and the whole team on the wrong side of the Umpires often Mafia inspired decisions all get pissed off and it is handbags at dawn....

I don't like the World Series Of Baseball. Oh, I like to watch or read about it. But the name. World Series. That implies that the WORLD plays Baseball. There are about 3 countries in the entire universe that has leagues in Baseball. I think I may have mentioned them all already.

**The reason I would like to try Baseball is because you get paid an awful lot of money. (Dollars is not real money! I would like to be paid in our Mickey Mouse Denomination of pounds Sterling please for all prospective scouts!!!)

The LIVE SPORT hiatus is over and onwards with the television delights. Happy rest of Sunday to you.
