(This is a continuation of a previous thread.... 'My view of the nations')
In which I continue to 'publicly' humiliate my self by showing how little I know of, not only the Countries themselves, but the Indigenous folks...
I could attempt 'funnies' here and say such things, somewhat akin to Basil Fawlty in the classic British comedy Fawlty Towers (Which I watched last night) I could say Don't mention the war or 1966 or Hitler, but as I have already done so seems pointless. The war was a long time ago. A lot of people died, and are indeed dying right now in many wars, in a common effort to impose their wills or ideals on the people with the lesser weapons and firepower.

GERMANY
In the previous post about the Nations in which I started with Germany, I didn't actually get to express many views at all regarding the Germans so will continue the thoughts on Germany and the Not so Sauerkrauts.....
Germany. And the Teutons. The butt of many a joke, and considered by many to have no sense of humour (Although at this time I struggle to think of a German comedian to hit the big-time)
**After quite a long pause at this point postulating and searching my frontal lobes for German Comedians, without googling any. Try it! I shall continue. Other than to say Joachim LÖw the current German National Soccer coach makes me howl, for some reason **
So onto the Germans I do know, or am in the process of getting to know.
I find the several Germans I have met, both on-line and in the Matrix (Real World) and now know a little better, totally charming, humourous and from what I have seen, the Germans don't all wear Lederhosen and eat long Sausages (Mainly just the Germans who do wear the Lederhosens and eat long sausages, not necessarily simultaneously oddly)
Germany is also the home of, amongst other car manufacturers PORSCHE http://www.porsche.com/uk/
Like many a 'Boy-Racer' I covets very greatly a 911 TURBO... o-O (Holds begging dish out to Germans...)
Random Things I know and like about Germany and the Germans... (Again could have left a massive blank space here, as a joke of course)
*Integration between East and West Germany. (When the Berlin wall came down in 1989, I was in hospital)
*Motor Manufacturing Mecca. PORSCHE MERCEDES etc To say I love cars would be an understatement... In fact, I have written NOTHING about cars on this blog yet
*AUTOBAHNS any country where you can drive as fast as your car will possibly go, without getting your collar felt by the long arms of the law is fine by me. Statistically the German Motorways are safe to travel on. Just try avoiding the Autobahns in Germany on the days that the BBC send 'Top Gear' presenter Richard Hammond to test the latest rocket powered car on the Autobahn....
*SENSE OF HUMOUR Yes really. Any country that adopts and actually idolises David Hasselhoff must be chock-a-block full of comedic legends. Germans actually have a 'dark' sense of humour. (Maybe Ironic sense of humour too!)
* Nürburgring Probably the Racing/Test-Track I would like to drive the most.

That is it for the GERMANS (Not literally) but that is where I am going to finish as it is 5.40 am and I watched a bit of telly instead of having a bath. So bathtime now.
