Colony Collapse Disorder. (CCD) Should we be worried?

Did you know our honey bees are all in the process of dying? Although sudden unexplained losses of entire hives and colonies of these essential creatures has not been that uncommon, historically, the relatively new cases are rather more alarming. 2006 saw the first of latest and more worrisome large scale incidences of what is known as Colony Collapse Disorder.
(Or ~ HONEY BEE DEPOPULATION SYNDROME) ~ (HBDS)

CCD

Honey bees are essential. I know you know that, but with it being winter you will not be thinking of bees. If you do not know why Honey Bees are important to the eco-system as a whole then I will briefly explain.

Bees pollinate plants.
(Explanation over. If you need more info, google try *nitwit*)

There are many theories about what is causal in this phenomenon of CCD.

Key causes thought to be at blame are Genetically modified crops, Pathogens (infectious organisms), Global warming and quite frighteningly the natural extinction of this species. (A few causes picked out from many reasons thought to be to blame for CCD)

So should we be worried? At this stage I would tend to err on the caution side, and like the freaky weather we have been having it is merely a 'cyclical' thing, that will clear itself up.

As long as we insist on poisoning and raping the ecosystem I think that the disappearance of much more of what is known as the country side will disappear.

Both Flora and Fauna.

DAMN RIGHT WE SHOULD BE WORRIED!!!
