Surveillance UK style.
(These should be worth literally pounds on 'You've been framed...' Comedy clips of maimings and shootings and countless women being sick)
"I Was just sat watching 'Eagle Eye' on a 'not quite legal' copy of said DVD. My computer farted about two thirds of the way through this highly enjoyable film and is now refusing to play, surely there is a moral somewhere there....?

*Regarding The above statement, however true or false, should anyone who has any association with income taxes or revenues, or Law Enforcement in ANY country read this... I do not come by my money by any nefarious means whatsoever, yet, and live below the poverty line in a third world state and all my writing is based on faction added with a sprinkling of comedy. I hope this attempt at comedy is not lost on the estabilishment it is poking fun at....
In the UK we have more surveillance cameras than whole countries (FACT! We have more cameras than every country on this planet, and universe) London has 47 cameras for every celebrity Z-lister alone. (See Paparazzi but wrong type of surveillance)
What got me thinking about cameras and surveillance, well, a couple of things have not escaped my attention span, that 'span' currently middling between a goldfish and a hamster...
Firstly the 'Stop and Search' policy in the UK.....
AND a particular favourite viewing 'filler' of mine when I don't have anything better to do, the Various and many Cop type programmes, particularly in the UK, though not exclusively the UK. Got to say that America do the Cops and Felons show really well. Too well in some cases.
Now to my MAJOR gripe with these subjects. Stop and Search and Cop Programmes.
I am on the police's side on the whole. I think that the majority do a fine job, for all us, semi-law abiding folks. There is however, deeply engrained within the very heart of the force that is STILL inherently racist. I am not playing a race card, no. I am simply pointing out that when police use the powers of 'STOP AND SEARCH' no questions asked, the majority of people that were and indeed, STILL are being stopped and searched, are quite simply, NOT CAUCASIAN. With the figures being reported that if you are say, maybe, "Young, gifted, but not white" you are SIX TIMES more likely to be stopped, than us with a more pale face. This makes me a little pale faced thinking about this statistic.
Let's move this on a little here. If you have 'more than a days stubble' on your chin, you carry a rucksack, and maybe pray 5 times a day or whatever, it must really ingratiate you to our once tolerant and accepting country, to maybe get a potshot took at you by bumbling Tube Police officers and maybe a few insults too from the street life that is modern Britain at the moment.
I accept immigration. But not on the grounds to come to our great Country and expect to be handed everything on a plate. I respect any persons or groups being persecuted and wanting to escape tyranny and despotism, but hey, you want respect, then play by the rules and try a little more integration. Suspicions breed contempt. I am not suspicious, certainly wary of the Jihadist IDIOTS. BUT not all terrorists are Muslim, (See Tony Blair, Christian, Catholic, Fart)
And so to the glorification of the various COP SHOWS we all love and enjoy, and we ALL take driving tips off the cops too eh? (And the kids and yoofs all get ideas for what car to steal next and/or how to do it too)
Cop shows. Brilliantly entertaining and cheap to make. But, To be totally frank here.... America. EVERY felon seems to be black. Not a sweeping statement, but written as a viewer, not in America, but wanting to be, but, won't be, unless you do something about guns.....
In the UK it is exactly the opposite problem. Most of the action clips are of silly 'middle class' boys 'borrowing' top of the range Nissan Micra type vehicles and doing do-nut burnouts outside the local old-peoples home.
Or Mr. Average Ford Mondeo REP type man, again white, who has consumed 22 too many pints and decided to drive South on the Northbound carriage of the M1 motorway, whilst texting away on his mobile phone....
Surveillance is a must. We do nothing wrong, and so long as our hair is combed nicely, and the cameras that watch and record our EVERY move 24 hours a day, catch our profile in an illuminating style... Then what have we to fear about being observed so closely? In fact, give them something to observe. And no, I don't mean start having sex in stoopid places for all and sundry to view... NO. TRY moonwalking in the supermarket or impromptu displays of gymnastics on major highways and byways.... People of the the WORLD and the UK unite together... Let us give the surveyors of our Doom and gloom something to send to 'You've been framed...' And remember there is £250 pounds for every clip they use....
So to finish there on this tongue up cheek little piece, I say to the producers of these COP shows, particularly in the UK, that showing the occasional toke smoking black person does not make for balanced TV, nor does it tell the whole story about the true extent of crime nor punishment. You tend to GLORIFY many of the cheeky chappies you catch too. BAD BAD BAD!
But essentially bad viewing Nirvana at times....
And to you 'LEGAL'and paid peeping Toms who work the 556 million surveillance cameras in the UK, how about I sort a few clips of funny things that may occur on a high street or in a chain store near you... You want to go halfs??? I reckon we could make as much as a small country by selling to the Canadians... Surely, with their 'renowned' humour, they have a version of 'You've been framed'.... They watch any old shit. (Much love to my rapidly depleting Canadian fanclub:)))
